Oh my heck! I'm getting the feeling of dread that I get when I haven't written in my journal for a long time and I have to update it to include everything that has happened. Ugh. Luckily for me, blogs can have pictures on them so that saves me time. A picture is worth a thousand words, right?
For starters, my baby sister got married at the beginning of November. It was a cold but lovely day. I can hear all of my sisters in my head saying how it wasn't as cold as
my wedding day. Sorry, ladies. As I was one of the bridesmaids and Matt had to head back to class after the ceremony, Oakley spent the day mostly parentless. Thank you to Jessica and Justin for taking care of him. It was a fun day spent with people I love. Congratulations Emily and James!

So, funny story. We were told E&J wanted some pictures at Route 99 Diner so some of us headed there... |

This was our reaction when we found out E&J went to the chapel to eat instead. |

We tested out our snowshoes in November and took Oakley out in his sled. Awesome story: Matt and I went looking at some stores one night for a little sled for Oakley that he could sit in when we went on walks. No sleds. Then, the next morning, we drove past this bin by our place that is for clothes donations for some organisation (note:
clothes only) and there was a little sled right outside it just abandoned so we stopped and grabbed it. Sweet!

The second weekend in December, I became a single mother of six. My brother and sister-in-law were heading to a conference and needed someone to watch their kids. Matt was studying for exams and would rather not be distracted by his wife and baby, so I headed out to Tofield on Thursday. They have five kids ranging from 4 to 13 years old. It was so much fun! I hope my kids are good like those kids. Even with the fun we had though, I won't be having another five kids anytime soon. :)
Matt had two finals this semester and he passed them both! Well, the courses, anyways. ;) Hallelujah for the curve.
We went out to Tofield on the 15th for the Branch Christmas party. I'm so glad Santa came and we were able to get a picture with him. I think it's hilarious that Oakley is one of those kids that doesn't really like Santa. He's definitely wary of him at least.
Matt's sister Rachel gave her farewell talk the following day. I can't believe that the four months of waiting have gone by already and she is in the MTC! Oh my heck!
I'm going to do a separate post for Christmas and New Year's so I guess that is the end of my update for the rest of 2012. Two more posts in the near future, I promise. Maybe...
